What the 30-Day Living Room Guarantee Actually Means

What this is

The Living Room Guarantee is a 30-day window. If the trainer is not right for you, you can get a full refund. The idea is simple: a small tool only helps if you use it, so a trial period lets you find out whether you will.

What the research says

  • Sticking with exercise matters. In a review of chronic low-back pain, the authors suggest people choose exercise they enjoy and will keep doing [R05]. That is a reason a trial can make sense, though it is about exercise in general, not this trainer.
  • Resistance that progresses probably helps. For rotator-cuff-related shoulder pain, resisted exercise that progresses probably helps, while gentle unloaded movement alone probably does not move the needle on pain [R01].
  • No clinical trials of ShoulderBack Pro exist. The guarantee is a purchase policy. It is not evidence that the device treats any condition.

What you can do

Before you buy, you can:

  1. Pick one goal to practise. For example, gentle seated range or easier reaching for everyday tasks.
  2. Check with a clinician if you have a shoulder problem. Ask whether gentle, controlled movement is a good idea for you.
  3. Set a short daily routine. Three minutes is enough to see whether you will stick with it.
  4. Track how it feels. Note the days you practised and how your shoulder felt afterwards.
  5. Ask about the return steps. Know the guarantee steps before you start, so the trial is easy to end.

All of these work seated.

Where ShoulderBack Pro fits — and where it doesn't

For a shoulder that moves well enough for gentle practice, a 30-day trial is low-risk. SeeSaw (one arm guides the other in gentle reaches) and Windshield Wipers (slow side-to-side arcs) are easy first tests, and both work seated. Resistance comes from your other arm, so you decide how hard to push.

The trainer is $29 CAD, with free video lessons in the routines library. You can order from the shop. It's not a medical device and not a treatment, and there is no trial evidence about it specifically.

When to see a professional

See a doctor or physiotherapist promptly if you have: pain after a fall or injury with sudden weakness or loss of movement; a shoulder that looks deformed, very swollen or bruised; fever or feeling unwell alongside the pain; chest pain or breathlessness (call emergency services); constant pain that doesn't change with rest or activity; pain that wakes you most nights; numbness, tingling or weakness into the arm or hand; pain in several joints at once; or pain that hasn't improved after a couple of weeks of sensible self-care. Frequently asked questions

What does the guarantee cover?

It is a 30-day full refund. For the exact return steps and any conditions, email info@shoulderbackpro.com before you buy.

Does the guarantee mean ShoulderBack Pro works?

No. It means the trial is low-risk for 30 days. It does not show that the trainer treats any condition.

Is it a good choice for a sore shoulder?

Not as the main answer. Talk to a clinician first, and then decide whether a trial makes sense.
